Performance Engineered Solutions (PES) Ltd were pleased to support their local MP at a recent online event, discussing the benefits of companies investigating export options.
Sarah Champion MP hosted the very first Parliamentary Export Programme (PEP) event, in association with the Department for International Trade (DIT) to help local businesses in the Rotherham area to access the support they need to boost their exporting potential.
Sarah Champion said: “I was incredibly pleased to be able to host the first of a series of events with the Parliamentary Export Programme.
“It is a priority of mine to help local businesses survive and then recover from the pandemic and I am grateful that events such as this are able to provide free advice including on government supported working capital and the practicalities of post-Brexit trade.
“I hope that the businesses that took part today found the event useful and I look forward to welcoming them and others to further events in the next few months.”
Mike Maddock, Managing Director of PES Performance Ltd who spoke at the event said: “As a Northern Powerhouse Export Champion and local business owner I was pleased to be asked to support this important event.
“Not only am I focussed on opening up export opportunities for PES Performance, but I am also passionate about support regional businesses, to ensure they reach their true potential, and unlock new markets to help support the region and UK Plc.
“ I believe that Sarah is perfectly positioned to make this happen by supporting the businesses in her constituency and the wider region.”
The PEP programme aims to help lead the drive to bring free government support to more local firms in Rotherham to help them take advantage of export opportunities and to tap into demand for British products from overseas.
Attended by businesses from across the constituency and representatives with expertise in exports, they event aimed to share information as well as answer questions.
