PES Performance has been shortlisted for Sheffield’s first Digital Awards.
A nomination in the ‘Best Use of Digital Technology In Industry’ category recognises the work that the PES team does for clients utilising technology, including 3D scanning, CT scanning, CAD and 3D printing.
The award ceremony sponsored by the Sheffield Star will take place on 2 May at Kollider in the city centre. The Star has launched the city’s Digital Awards to recognise how Sheffield’s technology and digital industry continues to grow and to celebrate the people and companies doing great things.
The Star has worked with Sheffield Digital and the team at Kollider to create this opportunity to really shout about the city and its tech success stories. While we all know that the digital sector contributes a huge amount to Sheffield’s economy and culture, the Digital Awards will see the message reach a much wider audience.
Mike Maddock, managing director of PES Performance said: “It is really great to have been shortlisted for one of the first Sheffield digital awards, and in particular for the use of digital technology in industry. All our activities include digital technology, whether it is CAD work, utilising analysis tools including FEA and CFD or our data capture services whether by 3D optical scanning or CT scanning.
“Our real expertise however is in our people. We have a great team who not only understand how to use the digital tools but who also have an excellent understanding of engineering principles and their execution across a wide variety of industry sectors. Technology is here to support our teams to get the best solutions for our clients, not the driver to dictate those solutions.”
Mel Kanarek, co-founder of Sheffield Digital added: “It’s fantastic that our local news media organisation is really interested in and supportive of the sector. It’s great The Star came up with this initiative and wants to celebrate success – and is as excited about it as we are. We encourage our community to nominate impressive companies and people in all categories.”
